Classic Ladder

THE STORY

Classic ladders are the rolling library ladders traditionally used in a library, with library ladder wheels on the bottom and a railing to keep it in place. The library ladder provides an easy and convenient way to reach otherwise inaccessible books stored on high shelves, you know, Belle’s ladder in Beauty and the Beast.

The defining elements of our classic ladders:

• The sides pieces are 3/4” W X 3 1/2” D, the steps are 3/4” H X 4 1/2” D

• The front corner of each step is angled to prevent clothing from getting caught (double beveled)

• The edges of the side pieces and each step are rounded for comfort

• Each step has two traction grooves for safety

• There is a metal rod under each step to increase the strength of the ladder (step support rod)

• At the top of the ladder you have a choice of a traditional top rung, or a contemporary small shelf (Bookie)

Classic ladders can be used in libraries, kitchens, closets, wine rooms, mud rooms, pantries and lofts. Customization is unlimited, different wood species, a variety of hardware types and colours, different edge profiles, just let us know how you want your ladder to look.
